Nominations are open for the PA APCO Public-Safety Awards

PA APCO presents awards to public safety communications personnel who have demonstrated the highest levels of personal and professional conduct and performance in the line of duty.

PSAP award categories include:


Submit nominations via email to  Nominations must be received by March 19, 2020.

Who’s eligible?

Nominees must have been employed in the applicable category by a public safety agency at any time between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020. Nominees do not have to be members of PA APCO.

What do the award winners receive?

Award recipients will receive conference registration for Tuesday sessions and the vendor showcase at the annual PA APCO Conference. And be recognized and presented their awards in front of their peers during the vendor showcase presentation.

What information to provide on the Nominee?

  1. Describe the nominee's public safety communications agency. Please include staffing levels, size, and discipline (Law, Fire, EMS, PSAP only, etc.).

  2. Describe the nominee's daily and additional pertinent duties and responsibilities.

  3. How long has the nominee been at this job? Do they have any previous public safety communications experience?

  4. How does the nominee demonstrate his/her knowledge of the profession and flexibility in task assignments? Provide an example of how the nominee goes above and beyond what may be required of an individual in this position.

  5. Describe the nominee's overall performance throughout the year.

  6. In one page or less, describe why the nominee should receive the award.
